Wanted to Keep my Promise...

I promised a few people before I left that I would post some pictures of work... while I still have internet I wanted to follow through.

Keep in mind that I didn't fully finish them before I left!

That's first on the 'to do' when I get back.

Arrived in Style

Luckily, Johnny and I travel in a similar fashion. Most people would be slightly, or greatly, distressed if they found themselves on a plane to Nicaragua with absolutely NO idea where they were going, or what they were doing, once they landed. We both knew that it would work out perfectly.

And it did.

We stepped off the plane, found the nearest bottle of Jameson at the Duty Free next to baggage claim, stepped outside and smoked a cigarette, then walked across the street to a hotel that promptly gave us the perfect room. (Note... we did NOT request that number.)

Afterwards, in true Lombok fashion, we hastily jumped into the pool. (Which was greatly appreciated because it was about ninety degrees at eight o'clock in the evening.)

Terra, you were missed.

We made our way this morning to San Juan Del Sur.

We are now in the midst of planning a rapid exit strategy after a surf tomorrow. Techno is wafting in our room's windows on the warm breeze as I type this... blasting all the way from the beach... blar.

This is exactly where we didn't mean to go... the place everybody tells you to go. Will update when we find our new home... if there's internet there of course. (Hopefully there wont be.)

I Heart LA (Sometimes)...

But not as much as I love Jazmine, Jameson, and Svetka... the seven foot tall transvestite fooze ball maniac we met at the Cha Cha last night. (And yes... I am biting his fake tit in that shot.)

A must see...

So, anyone that's ever looked on hulu for a good movie knows that it's nearly impossible to actually find one worth watching. Well last night I was desperate to find one so I searched through many pages and finally stumbled on a description that simply said...

"After the apocalypse, a group of mental health patients have inherited the Earth. Armed with a short bus and imagination, they must rebuild society and find the edge of the world."

As soon as I saw "short bus," I was sold.

I love this movie. I'm also really envious of the people who got to participate in making it. If you have 55 minutes or need a good movie for free soon... watch this!

Travel Plans?

My travel plans may be subjected to a bit of turmoil due to a volcano in Iceland. I am adjusting by the minute. I am supposed to leave in two weeks... think good thoughts for me! I have some plans in the works that could completely change my entire course... and I'm pretty excited about it.

I'll post the adjusted route as soon as I have it... and although I wasn't originally going to bring a computer the new path may require me to do so. (Oddly enough.) So there will be many posts to come once I take off.

I originally saw this on Today I Like You. I heard it again recently and decided that songs like that are just plain dangerous... they make me want someone to sing it to.

What a Week / Month / Year

Things have been slowly coming down a few notches on the intensity scale this week... but it has definitely been a really rough 2010 so far.

A beloved friend gave me this song on one of his CD's yesterday and I don't know how I have never heard of this woman before. Her voice is hauntingly beautiful and plucks all the right heart strings.
